I think he would be blown away about the way this song conjures up so much emotion in people. I still have not got to into Jeff Buckley yet, I love his music. I hear what everyone else says about this song. It is so ironic how many were intorduced to this song. I was introduced to it by an ex, always thought it was good but unly really heard it last year. I still think of her all the time, it has become incredibly ironic that she introduced me to this song, cuz it might as well have been about her. Still love you K. Thanks

Its whatever you take from it. Its love, its hope from a dingy hooded loner. Its all i can offer, can you afford to take a chance. Its picking yourself up off the ground, rising up past those ghosts in the eyes so to speak, and its a shot, that one shot, "Born to Run" might have been his shot at rock and roll immortality, but this song, this song resonates more, it bares its soul, his soul, and it sheds light on so many of ours. It connects unlike any other song he has, in his concerts there is not a voice crying out along with his when this song gets played. Its his song and ours. I made sure this song got played when I got in my car to leave my high school for good. Roy Orbison sang for the lonely, Bruce sang for all of us. he is the ambassador for the everyman, our ambassador to rock.

It is a song about chasing after someting just beyond your reach. I know something about this song, I have been doing it for months now, this song is so real. Sometimes we are just not meant to connect with that person, you can reach them on so many levels just not in the way you want. Its maybe about a deep desire, almost an obsession, too elusive, and out of reach. Someone said it right up there, it truly is bittersweet.

This song is about a search, in fact he says what its about and how its meaning changes over the years; and he is right. It is romantic, it is powerful, it's about a guy and a girl, and they are trying to find what we are all serching for, happieness, love, family, and as Bruce says so eloquently a connection. It's sounds desperate, and yet somehow just so right. It is an amthem for those of us who might be down and out, but still holding onto that idea that there is still something out there for us. Holding on to a dream. This song has kep me good company on my search, and may it keep you good company on yours.
