This was the first AFI song i ever heard, and i get all nostalgic everytime i hear it. I never tried to decide what it was about, but this whole EP is just fuckin kick ass. I think it's about alienation, which is rather generic, but not the way Davey writes about it. He makes it seem so unique, and describes the emotion just perfectly. Brilliant |

This song to me is about more than just loss of innocence. Yes it's about that, but it goes further. It's more like someone who spent their whole life looking for love, or atleast after they lost that "glow" of being a child and only needing your mother's love. So, now they're on a quest for that "one" girl or guy, and they feel they can't find them and are slipping and falling "will you wrap your arms around me as I'm falling?" But then, this person gets a chance at love, and feels at last they have found what they were looking for. But this love is not real and thus "I now feel more desperately alone" because they realize that they will never have love or their "glow" back, and thus they end it. Everyone is then sad, but no one ever told this person that, and they destroyed their world. Original Zynkster said basically the same thing and Blue Hellboy is a douche bag, glenn danzig wrote "halloween" not "the boy who destroyed the world" |
