this is so catchy, and got me really hooked on this band. This meaning is forgiveness. Looking past the bad things a person has to offer, and accepting their good things to offer. Very touching to me. |

I think this song is about Sin. "In the beginning we were smarter." talking about Adam and Eve "Through the ages, we got stupid" Perhaps this song is talking about it pentence and attonement of a act he made. After he did his pentence, he feels so clean. He feels free. |

Ok, Fight Club came out in 1999. This album preceeds the date, by 5 years. That's right 5 years. "Ruberneck" came out in 1994. So throw that Toadies-Pixies thing out the window. Unless, The Pixies loved the song and wanted to imitate it. There is a Tyler, Texas. I don't think this song is about Rape though. Maybe i just don't want it to be about it, oh well. It could just be that. To me this song is about getting the balls to ask out a crush. But then I read last few lines, and makes me think "Surprise Sex!" |
