the "mistake" is amazing. i think it sums up conor's response for everyone that critisizes his music, and to the people that say bright eyes does not know how to play music. look at these lines. "(We used to think that sound was something pure) But if I could act like this was my real life And not some cage where I've been placed Well then I could tell you The truth like I used to And not be afraid of sounding fake Now all everyones listening for are the mistakes" amazing. conor is a lyrical genious. theres only two other bands i can think of that have this talent as well: coheed and cambria, and saves the day. three amazing bands that everyone should appreciate. |

| me and a friend came up with a pretty solid interpretation of this song... it starts with a preacher and some alter boys rocking out in a church, followed by the story of a wheelchair-confined boy trying to pursue a normal life. listen to the music and words and you may be able to follow. when chris cuts in with the screaming, this represents the wheelchair boy making a triumphant stand after being knocked to the ground by high school bullies. Yeah its a far stretch, but it could be true. Punchline's new cd Action is amazing. go buy it. they just keep on getting better. | |
