| Ramones – Blitzkrieg Bop Lyrics

According to Joey the song was meant to be nonsensical, which makes all the sense in the world. The Ramones were a good time band and one of the only ones you could go see, dance, and have a good time. While many of Dee Dee's lyrics are quite personal about his German background this wasn't one of them. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Are You Experienced? Lyrics

This song is beautiful just in the musicianship. Jimi had bigger plans towards the end of his life than just playing guitar. He was even in the process of forming an orchestra before his untimely death in 1970. This is part of that experimentation but amazingly early on. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – All Along the Watchtower (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics

After listening to Dylans version of the song and then Jimis, I think Dylan was genius in writing the lyrics. I think Jimi added emotion to it however. Thats just plain beautiful, thats a collaboration and people shouldn't get hung up over who's version was better. You're either talking about Bob's version or Bob/Jimi's version. I prefer Jimi's soul and this is definintly one of my favorite Jimi songs and I always start the Electric Ladyland CD off by giving this a run first. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – 1983 ... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) Lyrics

Jimi grew tired of pepople requesting Purple Haze and Foxey Lady and other stuff that the Jimi Hendrix Experience did, but 1983 was on the same album as Voodoo Child (Slight Return). 1983, and Voodoo Child and basically the entire Electric Ladyland album were indicative of Jimis growing desire to move on, though I don't think he fully began to feel like he was getting there until he began work on the album which would become "First Rays of the New Rising Sun". |
