| Monarchy – The Phoenix Alive Lyrics

Oh, also, the second line.
I'm pretty sure it goes "just got lost in the way" not "lost on the way" although the latter would be grammatically correct I think.
The "pub" part, I think goes "Rise from the ash in oneness" followed by "the phoenix alive" for the chorus. I thought it was "feelings alive" too but if you listen carefully, the "n" sound is clear. Plus, it kind of makes sense because the title is "Phoenix Alive." |

Actually despite what you romantics think, the song is obviously about popping E and the euphoric trip that comes from that. |

| Simon and Garfunkel – Red Rubber Ball Lyrics

This song is beautiful. One of my new favorites.
It is quite obvious what it deals with. Motifs are relationships, love, and youth.
The whole deal with the "bid me farewell" probably has to do with rejection. Also the phrase about starfish makes it clear, that the person who is singing doesn't care if he has been rejected, there are others out there.
The roller coaster right? Youth is frequently described as a roller coaster ride.
Its a pretty standard hit the paper lip song, I dont know what that means, "hit the paper lip" but I wanted to say it.
Once again, I love this song. |

| Lostprophets – Last Train Home Lyrics

Wow, this is an awesome song. Its full of feeling and emotion. Clearly, the apparent message speaks of love, and preaches not to give up even if love fails. It seems the motif of 'singing' seems to be some kind of rebellion or aggression against the failure of falling in love. Some kind of cry, a wailing perhaps.
I'm trying to find more songs like this. I've narrowed the genre down to "Post-Grunge." However, that does not help very much since Post-Grunge songs are not too similar to one another. Its the grungy distorted guitars that really did it for me. However, "Last Train Home" marks, what I am sure is, the first time i've come across a Post-Grunge song that has some deeper meaning. |

This is really ironic. I really like this girl, and I am too afraid to tell her how I feel...and her name is Amanda. |

| Boston – Peace of Mind Lyrics

This song is awesome. It has to be my favorite song by Boston, too.
I believe the message within this song has to do with a clash between personality types A and B-psychological terms describing frame behaviors of certain people. Type A personalities are driven, the stop-for-nothing type, these are the achievers, the CEOs. Unfortunately, they suffer heart attacks frequently, for example. Type B people are the laid back types, they don't care if they climb to the top as much, just as long as they have peace of mind. |

I just wanted to say that this song is about Baker Street in London. The song seems very euphoric, and is interspersed with seemingly drunk ramblings. I love this song. Gerry Rafferty is awesome, so is Donald Fagen. |
