| I don't buy the prostitute idea. To me this song is the musical equivalent to the Forrest/Jenny relationship in Forrest Gump. He is completely devoted to her but she doesn't/can't/won't commit to him. Because he is, and has always been, so devoted she feels he is her safety net in case other relationships don't work. This seems to be a pretty popular theme in music. Or maybe it's me :-) | |
