I relly agree with asilbaby23...it's relly about how people pretend to be who they're not when they're with friends or whatever and then when they're by themselves they don't know who they really are...I can really relate. In our school, on the door of one of the bathroom stalls, it says "It's better to be hated for who you are then to be loved for who you're not"...I can really relate to this song...after I switched schools in third grade I never had any friends, so starting in fifth grade, I tried to be who I wasn't, and I still never got any real friends...I tried being what I thought was myself for a year and still didn't get any friends and I still don't know who I am...when I first heard this song which one of my "friends" gave to me for my birthday I really just wanted to cry so I tried to be myself again and in seventh grade I got my first real friend Tasha N. (hope you're reading this) and i've been truly happy for a change...this has been my favorite song since fifth grade, still is, and hope it always will be. |

No Doubt is one of my fave bands, and I think this is her best song from Return of Saturn...I agree with anemic royalty, and though im not completely sure about her being not ready for another relationship, i really think ur right when u say that u think she's being selfish by being with someone who loves her when she can't return their love...and also where u say that she knows the person deserves her love and trust but she just can't bring herself to really love that person and her love isn't true. |
