Okay so it's pretty obvious that this song is about robbing convenience stores together but, if you ask me, he's ready to stop, settle down "and start a family" but she's not. And when she says "let's hit 'em one more time" he just can't argue or deny her because of how she looks when she says it. The sparkle of her eyes I guess. |

I'm pretty sure some of these lyrics are wrong... like in the last chorus, I think its "my place is WITH YOU below" Also, does anyone know what the background lyrics are in this last stanza? |

you know what though, i like what Desaparecida (pg 2) said to. maybe it was just a way to try to save a meaningful relationship he was losing. they had sex while they were out there but it just didn't feel the same to him any more. |

The moral... don't have casual sex unless you wanna get burned. Anyway when the lyrics say "all the playful misspellings" what is he trying to say? I keep thinking about how people say... er write "I luv you" but its probably got deeper meaning than that. |

Sadly, I am a big VH-1 buff. Because of this I happened to see a show... I have no idea what it was called...where the lead singer of the counting crow explained that this song was told from the point of view of a person who was unsure of himself. He keeps repeating "I am ready I am fine" in order to convince himself that he's cool with whats happening or about to happen. I don't know if this pertains to sex or just a hard decision. Personally I don't think its about losing your virginity because I don't see what being colorblind has to do with sex. |

I relate to this song even though the meaning differs from my own. One of my very good friends abandoned me after I told her I no longer wanted to be friends with her boyfriend because I didn't respect him. She took it personal and even though it was very clear to everyone around her she wouldn't admit that he was trying to control her. Time has passed and we still don't talk. We compleatly ignore each other even though it kills me inside.
I relate so well with My Immortal because it basically tells how i feel. I hate feeling like I made a mistake by breaking away from her boyfriend. I still see her at school all the time so she's still always near me. I'm still hurting because even though she's had to see examples of his control issues she ignores them. I dream that she has forgiven me a lot. I always thought she was so smart and shes just too good for him. So even though shes still near me, I'm alone because she chose a life with him over my friendship.
