It's pointless to have a position where people will listen to you and not try to express your opinions and make the world into what you see as a better place. If you don't agree with him, don't agree with him. Don't listen to him. But can you honestly say that his political views make this any less of an incredible song? |

There are a lot of meanings for me in this song: My best friend died a couple of months ago. Obviously, this song gets to me in a literal sense ("l will see you in the next life") Then, just in general, the first verse ("Cheap sex and sad films/Help me get back where I belong") The way people always turn to *things* in a futile attempt to get something back or to feel something. God, this song is so beautiful. |
