I love this duet. Clashing of the Kings of Grunge, Layne Staley, Jerry Cantrell, and Chris Cornell (w/ Soundgarden at the time) together for such a beautiful piece.
I think the song signifies the wrongdoings and zany actions of a girlfriend gone wrong.
I think it's also trying to say that in a break-up, the guy isn't always at fault, because the girl can be just as cheating or obnoxious. |

This song means a lot to me, for it's my favorite. I like this song even more so then any of the songs from my favorite band, Alice In Chains, this song completely defines "back off". It pumps me up every time I listen to it. It's like the ultimate song. Everything that could be great about it is. The guitar riff, the kick-ass drumming (unlike anything I'd seen before), the lyrics, the voice. There is nothing wrong about this song.
As for the meaning, well I think it has much to do with letting go of your deepest, darkest agitations and spitting them at your target of choice. It's also detailing all the increments of an argument or decision that can't easily be rectified.
It also reminds me of relationships that goes so sour, the ex-partners explode in frustration at each other. |
