i am not religious at all and matisyahu is amazing to me. I normally cringe and can't take religious songs from quote unquote pop bands. i hear someone from say tooth and nail records and they make me want to stab myself in the ear. but matisyahu can make GOOD music singing specifically about religion and that's impressive to me. plus, the neo-reggae is hardly ever done right and he certainly is doing it. hope he's around for a long time to come. |

| Beth Orton – Stars All Seem To Weep Lyrics

i think she's an important artist because unlike pj harvey and liz phair (both to varying extents, certainly not absolutes) she's not afraid to be exposed for a woman. Sometimes PJ Harvey seems like she feels the need to be independent whereas Beth Orton embraces intimacy and longing as a woman...she doesn't treat it as a sign of weakness but an element of being human. |

arianethefool - TGUK are okay. They're nothing to call home about. They have a few good tracks on each disc but they start to sound really similar after awhile. Perfect example: i was listening to someone's iTunes playlist of them and they had four full get up kids cds on there, and I listened through them all and I could only tell when I switched between certain cds. some of them are really unique but the most of them sound the same. Something to write home about and on a wire are probably their best efforts. |

for the record all of you people who have a problem with this song and it being linked to the movie you've sadly been forced to put up with it forever. the soundtrack to this movie was EXTREMELY important to the movie so now the movie and the songs on the soundtrack are forever linked unless you count nick drake and simone and garfunkel because they're all huge successes prior to this movie. but these bands are forever linked to this soundtrack becuase of how big a role itp lays in this movie. |

I think this song is about being in that state of love where its dangerous. You love someone so much you don't realize that your every move is controlled by them. This is Anneke's recollection of this happening to her. the "kill me with your thoughts" "make me cry in vain" "touch my face with your sigh" is being hopelessly under their allure and not realizing that it doesn't matter much to them whether you're coming or going. |

the funny thing about the people who post on this saying "I don't want them to get all famous because i'm like their biggest fan blah balh blah" are the same people who can't even get their names right. its Geoff Rickly. thanks for the try though. shut up about them getting famous, hate them for the music changing not for them doing their job well. |

I think this song is kind of a rip on the sXe kids because that seems to me what they do, they were born on the same hardcore music that everyone else in the hardcore world was but they seem to think they're above everyone else. they build up this walls because they're better than everyone else because they don't drink or do drugs. bane is just telling them to wake up, you're doing what you all commonly hate, segregate. |

I think what they're trying to say is that the people who are two-faced or corrupt people of power or the people who sit in wealthy seats and preach religion and faith i.e. televangelists are the people who's god doesn't exist because they don't believe in god's work, they're using god as a device to stuff their pockets. They're exploiting these people's faith and sinning with all this wealth they establish without prayer or holiness at all. |

could it not be on the surface its about the movie and the movie is a symbol? I haven't seen the movie, but I'm guessing Jason was tormented and that led to him becoming a murderer and therefore its both about the movie and about the people who just want to rip a band apart when they do something new instead of accept it they just want to cry about it.
I happen to think this is an excellent disc and if you don't like it than that's too bad. |

I fail to see why people compare this cd to anything they've done so far. They obviously wanted to go in a different direction. Bands get sick of playing the same type of music over and over, that's not a human being that's a record player. These guys are muscians and they can play more than hardcore/screamo if you want consistency go listen to cds. If we never venture to what we haven't done humans would have never survived a week.
opposite of december and this cd aren't comparable to each other as far as which is better, they're two different styles. |

I happen to think that this is about being foolish and insecure and loving every moment of being depressed because you know who really cares. It may take you some time to wise up and realize what reactions to your situation mean what but you haven't learned what means what. I think the parts about 'i wasted all my time trying to remember the word content was' means the speaker has realized who really cares and he can move on but he doesn't know how beause he's feigned this depression for so long. |
