| Slightly Stoopid – Officer Lyrics

After he says "Let's get this party movin'" it definitely sounds more like he's saying "Until there's no one holdin'." and I think that given the situation that that makes sense. At least I swear to Jah that's what they were saying when I saw them live. |

Sounds like we got two friends one of whom is paranoid over his girlfriend cheating on him with his friend (from whose point of view the song is sung) who really has no interest in her, but misses having his friend around. They hiatus for a while over this relationship, but are forced to interact at some sort of gathering and this chance to "weigh in" and "say it" is probably ashes figuratively in the sense that it's in the past, and gone, but also literally ashes in that the two friends in question are probably smoking as a means of communion. Cool. Reminds me of high school. |

Korn would certainly sound better if they had a more... um... melodic supplement to their vocals. I definitely hear the Korn sound. |

I've lost faith in this site. There's not a friggin' ounce of humor in the people who post on these boards. That bothers me almost as much as the people who don't read any of the other posts and then post their opinion while dissing everyone else's. I'm going to go check another few bands' boards, and if none of them are better than you guys, well then fuck all of you who just talk shit. I hope you get what's coming to you...

| Placebo – Special K Lyrics

Ketamine, a neuro-toxic hallucinogen (long out of conventional medical use for those of you wondering), is a metaphor. Ketamine or "Special K", or "Vitamin K" is notorious for bringing on bad trips. In the book of Revelation, the Seventh Seal is the seal of the living god. In ancient numerology, seven is a number of perfection.
I think this song could be about the excitement of infidelity, the insecurity of a love affair. |

Video has destroyed music. Bands don't have to make good music anymore...
That being said: It's a good song. A bit out of the Chili Pepper's element, but they make up for it with the the next 3 tracks. |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Stadium Arcadium Lyrics

The Word from The Mick.
Interpretation: This song's about an underground revolutionary group in the Soviet Union. The narrator is questioning his dedication to the cause, and at the same time he's still in love with the ideals that the faction upholds.
Tedious weeds that the media breeds is propaganda. The animal gets what the animal needs = the corrupt ideals of Marxists in Russia.
Before calling it a stupid idea, just remember: It's not about what the song is really about. It's just an interpretation. |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Charlie Lyrics

Well, since this site is rarely about what the composer of the song said... (Never.) My interpretation is as follows:
The song's about Vietnam. If you listen it makes a lot of sense. The part about "You're right, I'm wrong, Be free, belong." is the spirit of the sixties. The whole Charlie part is obvious. (In case you don't get it, "Charlie's makin' me smile" = insanity derived from wartime shocks.) "Little Woman, save me some." - Saigon whores, Vietnamese girls in the clubs... etc. Eveready in disguise, sunset, sunrise - Sounds like guerilla warfare to me. |

| Coheed and Cambria – Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial) Lyrics

If you haven't read the comic, or don't know the story line of the comic, I would suggest two things. Either A. Read the comic and make an educated interpretation, or B. Shut your mouth.
And an afternote: Coheed's Album jackets are rarely correct on lyrics. (A lot of them are clearly discernible. I mean they sound nothing like what's written in those things... so... yeah.)

Man I don't know if I trust the lyrics that come with the album... I mean look at the Second Stage cover-jacket. The lyrics are not the same lyrics that Claudio says. I don't always trust everything that those things say. |

Disregarding the above comment... I believe this song could very well be about the submissive persona in a D/S relationship. I mean I'm not saying that that's what this song means I'm just saying if you listen to it, it could very plausibly mean that. |

These lyrics are just fine, they're missing like two little parts that aren't that important. Go complain elsewhere. For the most part it sounds like a song about heart-break in a very punk-rock way. (AKA throwing in protestors and stuff) |

For the record I always thought of it as the Father to Son sorta thing. Whether or not Tankian was talking about Jesus... This album is too LOADED with scripture passages for listeners to ignore the part about water into wine, and "Take this promise to the end of you." or for that matter "Why don't you know that you are my mind?" |

And by the way... To all of those who took it so freaking literally, the band was highlighting what it's like to be a teen-ager. Honestly, when was the last time you considered your parents feeling the same way you do. If you hadn't been so blind to examine the song rather than taking the lyrics to have such concrete meaning maybe you would've realized that.
