Pink Floyd – Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI - IX) Lyrics 21 years ago
I guess that makes sense nukethesun but I think this part has a sort of a closure sense to it . I always thought the line "Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there" refered to the his state of mind. like he knows that somewhere along the line he'd get lost too and sink in his world of madness.

Pink Floyd – Money Lyrics 21 years ago
I think the beauty of this song is that by both it's lyrics and it's music it portrays the way money rules our society... The lyrics, for obvious reasons and the music for two reasons - one is that just like Muzzy said the song sounds happy, just like money is an illusion of happiness with one's life and another reason is how the last part resembles the begining, showing the vicious cycle that is our obsession with money.

oh and I, for one, absolutely love the sax here.

Pink Floyd – Eclipse Lyrics 21 years ago
I think this song is the ultimate conclusion of life. This entire album revolves around life, throughout all it's realistically depressing aspects and this song sums it all up. Life is meaningless. Everything you do in life, no matter how big it is, is meaningless - time, money, war, sanity and death have the same importance as eating, talking, meeting people, etc. you may think that you're doing a lot. I mean the things described in this song and in this entire album are things that stand in the center of every person's life. but at the end of the day, it's all nothing. It's interesting that they chose to compare our stupid little lives to the sun, which is one of the most powerful, constant things in universe. As if to emphasize just how small and meaningless our lives are compared to the sun and the moon...

An amazing song.
