| thats a good def of the song prodigy, but IMO i feel its more specific towards a person, such as a "barwhore". I think it pretty much tells the story of a chic that he sees at the bar that has a reputation for hooking up with someone new all the time. He's talkin about resisting hooking up with her because he knows all she's after is free drinks and sex, and that eventually it will lead to her being pregnant because of her lifestyle. he knows there is the chance though that he may give into her one night after drinking and listening to her bullshit and suprise everyone when he leaves with her. "for starving eyes i know you will never make a proud home" refers to the fact that she isn't trustworthy of an actual relationship because of her habits... | |

| i think the song mite be about anger, and fighting with someone you love.... the first verse lyrics(both brock and his buddy) make me think that they were fighting with someone, and they were trying to tune out everything that they were saying to them. The pre chorus and chorus are pretty much saying "despite our problems, i still love you, forgive me" the only confusing thing is "where the baptized drown, we used to breathe" that can possibly mean something like a sin(I have no clue, brock has stumped me on this one). the bridge i think is indeed about the control that anger can take over you, and makes you say things you dont mean, so u learn in the end to just keep your mouth shut.....I dunno, anyone agree with me about this stuff? | |

Brock is jez like Mr. Daryll Palumbo in the way he writes, its so confusing, yet has so much meaning. They're both FUCKING MASTERMINDS, and both bands are 2 of the greatest ever. As for the song, he's obviously talking about a female in his life, and her not being there. Whether it be a girlfriend or friend "And I've been looking at you through the telephone, as the photograph whispers that she isn't even home..." To me it seems hes trying to reach out to someone, and all he has is silence, and his thoughts of them. or perhaps it is his mother to whom he's writing about (these are the correct 2nd verse lyrics by the way: "Twenty some years my parents let themselves leave. I always thought that would never, ever be me. And now you're looking at me through a new lens, your voice on the end doesn't understand anything, nor do I." He mite be talking about his mother because of those words, and how he feels abandoned by her, and how she doesnt understand him for him, and he doesnt understand why.
