| Thrice – Under Par Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Give it up, it's not that hard to interpret. Obviously when he says "I try the best I can, but it seems that I'm not the perfect son" he's referring to his father. And another thing, Dustin is Christian, get over it. He's not preaching, it's just his life and his beliefs and anyone who tries to claim he doesn't sing about religion needs to learn to read. The rest of the band isn't Christian, but Dustin just happens to write the lyrics and usually you write about what you feel. There, after three years of anger about Thrice fans not understanding, I let it out. Good day. | |

| Cursive – The Martyr Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Basically, what he is saying is that don't use your sadness to your advantage. "Your sorrow's your goldmine". I think he is referring to himself. It goes along with Art is Hard when he says "cut it out. your self-inflicted pain is getting too routine." He, or whoever he is referring to, uses their pain to sell music, get people's attention, and gain things. I think what it comes down to is "stop marketing your pain, you're not alone, don't be selfish, and don't take advantage of your sadness." | |

| Sparta – Light Burns Clear Lyrics | 21 years ago |

i posted the right lyrics in here, i don't know where they went....but they are... Looking back with perfect symmetry mistakes were you, mistakes were me photos fall through the glass paint it black to hide your face static screams deaf the masses but what do they have to say? Fan the flames to the landslide crown yourself in the wake we play this disaster fanfare, fanfare, liar Concrete eyes and flash bang imagery you're bored with home, you're bored with me rings were thrown out the window rolled down empty streets walls will talk for the widow but what does she have to say? Edges dulled at the end of the day |

| Bright Eyes – Bowl of Oranges Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
These are the real lyrics... And we'll keep working on the problem We know we'll never solve Our love's un-even remainders Our lives are fractions of a whole But if the world could remain within a frame Like a painting on a wall Then I think we'd see the beauty then We'd stand staring in awe At our still lives posed Like a bowl of oranges Like a story told By the fault-lines in the soil |

| Alkaline Trio – Fuck You Aurora Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Yeah, they are definitely right about the car crash. I like how all the people from Chicago get Alkaline Trio way more just because we know what they are refering to. Aurora is a burb of Chicago near where they grew up. | |
| Alkaline Trio – 5-3-10-4 Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I live 2 towns away from where Matt grew up and I definitely understand where he is coming from. In a town like that you aren't exactly accepted for what you look like. Basically all there is out there is cows, corn, and trains. So, it makes sense. When he says "Unsure, unslept, uncovered The new light of dawn discovered by ungrateful eyes, Through 5-3 eyes" He's reffering to being a teenager and being forced to go to school dead tired. And I was thinking that "They came in metal coffins - chained me up and hacked me off my years" was a metaphor for school being binding or something. That's what I got out of it. All I have to say is Oralstd, this song definitely isn't religious. Matt Skiba wouldn't go that indepth about the Bible when he hates religion. |
