Oh my God your all insane.
Again rethinking as always, I think this song in part represents our dual personality, the primitive mixed with the divine. As much as you want to be perfect you are only human and no matter how enlightened you are you need to "devour to survive", "life feeds on life". We HAVE to have this side to us for us to survive. By the way stop idolising MJK search yourself for your own way! I even have a sneaky suspicion that not even MJK fully understands his lyrics sometimes lol. It happens when you get caught up in writting, the reason being every single being on this planet is insane. |

This song can relate to everything even opinion, this song even is relavant to the album itself outside the album if that makes sense? some people seem to be debateing about the album, people like TREXOR giving his opinion and people ripping him apart for it, as he rips apart their opinion... They gave us an album and we cut it right in 2.
In that way this song is not directly linked to war just down to people being closed minded. |

This is an quote from a book called "Thus spoke Zarathustra" by Friedrich Nietzsche, which I have been reading recently and there is one small quote that made me think of this song.

I love this album the songs sound really good, however i don't think it has a lot of flow as an album, I am interested to see if this is just the left over songs from lateralus with a couple extra, and we have another album to go. |

This is a definate antiwar song, but gotta clear something up.
This is about a mother loseing her husband and her son, and now her other son wants to go to war. The mother then begins to question why we have to go to war at all.
Why does it take things like this to make people see war is wrong. there are people on both sides losing brothers husbands etc. |

Ok i love the smiths and Morrissey, but i don't think this is about homosexuality, personally i don't think any of his songs, even the so called obvious ones. I agree that they about sexuality, but we are all sexual creatures, we jut have different ways of getting out fix. This is pretty much what morrissey said in an interview i read. So personally i don't think any songs are specifically about being gay, just love and sexuality |

the songs make me think of plato (you know the philosopher) he believed that nothing in this life was real it was simply a shadow, an illusion. This song makes me happy as it makes me hopeful that something better is waiting. "This body holding me" i don't think means another person, i think it is his soul talking about his own body. Mixed with the theme of sex as he is obviously having an pleasurable experiance, which he is using to ancher himself here. |

agreed it seems like its about someone who has just come down off a drugs high, and realised they are wasting there life, crying out for help to stop the craving.
Howevere i also like the idea of someone who is on anti depressents and they havn't worked and they have over come the need for them and trying to live there life without the pills, all he needs is some help for the down days. |

I think this song is more of a enlightenment, feeling the world is not as real as we make out, the feeling of something better. possible even someone commiting suicide and feeling the release of pain. |
