I'm pretty sure that the 'heart floats in the bay' line is a reference to Tony Bennett's "I Left My Heart in San Fransisco" |

| Thursday – At This Velocity Lyrics

Yeah, Thursday was touring Australia with PTW, Mars Volta and other bands for the Big Day Out tour. They were flying to Perth from the eastern states for the last show of the tour when the incident happened.
I was at their show, it must have been about 6 hours since they were in the plane. Geoff said how close they were to dying just that morning, but they still played a fucking brilliant show. |

Fucking perfection.
Everybody here seems to have the same opinion as i do.
This guy has never strayed from the same monotonous career- playing it safe, wishing he'd take more risks, but never acting on it.
Then he realises that he's too old to make a change, and his life has been wasted.
He traded his good years for financial security, which he now regrets.
Alexisonfire are fucking brilliant. Enough said |

| Alexisonfire – Happiness By The Kilowatt Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
The song is about a person's materialistic life, and their ugly realisation that possesions do not secure long-term happiness.
In the first verse, there is a lingering feeling of dissatisfaction, or even dissappointment ("I always imagined it something more"). The narrator quickly counters this with an urge to buy more things to cover up his anxiety (drapes....paints....frames)
In the "hail of sparks", he/she suffers some sort of panic attack, or some emotional upheaval which material possesions will not cure.
Then the narrator seems paraniod and confused, as his/her life seems hollow and pointless.
The message of this song is to "wake up" to reality. You cant simply buy happiness from a catalogue, and determine you success through you 'kilowatt count'. |

About how despicable and evil people who profit from tabloid magazines are, and how ordinary people are drawn to the personal lives of the famous. Lets leave the celebrities alone, they deserve their privacy! |

CKY3 is their claim to fame, but nearly the entire soundtrack to Haggard (starring the CKY dudes) is music from HIM. It was from watching Haggard that i became a loyal fan of HIM. This song fucking rocks |

fucking cool song. I saw them live at Big Day Out in Australia in Feburary, and it was the best live performance i have ever seen. Metallica was playing at the same time at another stage, so all the fans seeing Thursday were there TO SEE THURSDAY, not just to see the most popular band, so the atmosphere was teriffic. They opened with this song, and it fucking went off. These guys can put on a show!!! |

Best song on the album in my opinion. The lyrics really do express the feeling of lonliness, depression, and the ultimate boredom of a person void of companionship. |
