Faith No More – We Care A Lot Lyrics 17 years ago
Anyone have the lyrics to the "We Care A Lot" album where he says something about smurfs?

Faith No More – Woodpecker From Mars Lyrics 17 years ago
This is probably their most unique song musically, and it's damned amazing. It also works as a great intro to War Pigs.

The Dillinger Escape Plan – Panasonic Youth Lyrics 18 years ago
"and all the time we try to tear the script up"

Greg sounds exactly like Mike Patton on this line.

Thrice – Like Moths To Flame Lyrics 18 years ago
Er. You're incredibly wrong. The Passion is more or less taken from the Bible with some embellishment as Mel Gibson does. Peter DID betray Jesus thrice (lolol), but not in the same way that Judas did. Judas straight up turned him in, but Peter's betrayal was of the heart. He denied his faith in Jesus three times.

Imagine you follow someone and truly believe in him, not even religiously. You swear you'll be by his side til his final breath. Your leader is persecuted and you shy away from admitting you had any contact with him. As he's being carried away to face his punishment, you two meet eyes. How would you feel? Like you've betrayed your best friend.

This song is Thrice's absolute best, and like others have said, I can taste a glimpse of what Peter must have felt like betraying Jesus, and I'm not even Christian.

Gackt – Redemption Lyrics 18 years ago
Yeah, it's not only the English lyrics that are messed up. There's various things here and there that could really use some touching up.

Strata – Cocaine (We're All Going To Hell) Lyrics 18 years ago
Well considering she's dead, I'd definitely say she's got a problem.

Faith No More – Zombie Eaters Lyrics 18 years ago
It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that he's singing from that perspective, eh?

Tomahawk – 101 North Lyrics 19 years ago
Something tells me that this is about drugs and how Mike thinks they've affected society, him being anti-drugs and all.

This song is pretty fuckin' awesome, even if I disagree with the message he may or may not be conveying.

Team Sleep – Kool-aid Party Lyrics 19 years ago
It actually sounds like he says

"I dream of
I drink up"

Maybe it's both.

Such an amazing song.

Faith No More – Ricochet Lyrics 19 years ago
To me, the basic message seems to be "I know you're better than me, but you don't need to be a douchebag about it."

Faith No More – Kindergarten Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it's about going back to a school many years later and seeing how differently things look from your older perspective. Really, it could be about revisiting any really old memories from new eyes.

Faith No More – Home Sick Home Lyrics 19 years ago
This is the clearest set of lyrics Mike Patton has ever written.

Faith No More – Introduce Yourself Lyrics 19 years ago
Guy posting above me, Patton's not on this song. The singer around this time is Chuck Mosely, and "Mikey" is Mike Bordin, the drummer of FNM.

This song is ridiculous. My favorite part is after the first "Woaah" at the end. "Woah woah ahhhh " Hahaha.

I'd sure as hell like to be remembered moreso for Battlefield Earth.

Atreyu and A7X sound nothing alike. Both are good though.

This song is fucking amazing.

Trophy Scars – Jeery's the Name, Sociology's My Game Lyrics 20 years ago
These lyrics seem to be written from the perspective of a guy who was going out with a girl for quite sometime and was hurt when she broke up with him, but through it all they remained friends. Then, years later, they try to get back together and now he can't stand her, so he writes this song about it. =P

Circa Survive – Holding Someone's Hair Back Lyrics 20 years ago
I've got to agree with Ear24 on this. The fact that the movie takes place in Montauk adds to the possibility. Also, who cares if Anthony is gay?

Story of the Year – Anthem Of Our Dying Day Lyrics 21 years ago
Rarely does a song give me chills like this one does, especially right in the beginning when the synth drums kick in.

The Postal Service – The District Sleeps Alone Tonight Lyrics 21 years ago
Red Ipsa's interpretation is well thought out, and quite correct by my interpretation of the song as well.
