| Thrice – Like Moths To Flame Lyrics

Er. You're incredibly wrong. The Passion is more or less taken from the Bible with some embellishment as Mel Gibson does. Peter DID betray Jesus thrice (lolol), but not in the same way that Judas did. Judas straight up turned him in, but Peter's betrayal was of the heart. He denied his faith in Jesus three times.
Imagine you follow someone and truly believe in him, not even religiously. You swear you'll be by his side til his final breath. Your leader is persecuted and you shy away from admitting you had any contact with him. As he's being carried away to face his punishment, you two meet eyes. How would you feel? Like you've betrayed your best friend.
This song is Thrice's absolute best, and like others have said, I can taste a glimpse of what Peter must have felt like betraying Jesus, and I'm not even Christian. |

Yeah, it's not only the English lyrics that are messed up. There's various things here and there that could really use some touching up. |

Something tells me that this is about drugs and how Mike thinks they've affected society, him being anti-drugs and all.
This song is pretty fuckin' awesome, even if I disagree with the message he may or may not be conveying. |

To me, the basic message seems to be "I know you're better than me, but you don't need to be a douchebag about it." |

I think it's about going back to a school many years later and seeing how differently things look from your older perspective. Really, it could be about revisiting any really old memories from new eyes. |

Guy posting above me, Patton's not on this song. The singer around this time is Chuck Mosely, and "Mikey" is Mike Bordin, the drummer of FNM.
This song is ridiculous. My favorite part is after the first "Woaah" at the end. "Woah woah ahhhh " Hahaha. |

These lyrics seem to be written from the perspective of a guy who was going out with a girl for quite sometime and was hurt when she broke up with him, but through it all they remained friends. Then, years later, they try to get back together and now he can't stand her, so he writes this song about it. =P |
