@ flavaflaav if anything it's more like regina spektor sounds like a poor recording of feist. @ bottlerocket88 how come a cute song with "saddish kind of meanings" is " gay" just because it doesn't make you happy anymore? if anything, i think it makes the song all the more enjoyable. |

i had no idea what he was talking about in this song but from reading people's comments i agree with it being about a girl. he's comparing her to plexi glass, which looks like regular glass but is stronger and i'm quite certain that it's man made. it seems as though he's paying her a compliment since she's not plastic. however he says: "unlike plastic easier to see through" indicating that she's transparent. not sure if that's good or bad. "Just like glass with no ring Softer and sadder you sing " "no ring" could mean she has no voice. doesn't speak up for herself so she slips into depression, the sad song she sings. "Sexy sexy do your thing Learn to be shy and then you can sting Plexi, plexi bend don't shatter Once your broken shape won't matter" he's telling her to keep doing her own thing. "be shy and then you can sting" make yourself look harmless, do your own thing and sooner or later people will notice and you'll impact them in a greater way then if you always do what they want. however he tells her that it won't be easy, "bend don't shatter." shattering=death or her broken spirit. "breaking your mind" perhaps refers to her just doing what everyone expects of her. fitting the mold by "killing time" with the other plastics. she's breaking her mind trying to please both, trying to upkeep an image yet remain true to herself. |

i've been a fan of no doubt for quite some time. at first i didn't like this song, but i must admit it's very catchy and has an awesome video. but i'm not feeling these lines: "I can't wait to go back into Japan... Gimme lots of brand new fans. " it just makes her sound like she's only doing this to attract fans. perhaps she didn't mean it that way, but i don't think that line was a smart choice. and she's following the oh so cool and hip trend that asians (mainly japanese culture) are cool. yes, we are hip, but being asian is not a fucking trend. i'm just sad to see that she's buying into it. |

| i agree with rocketqueenz. she is singing to her lover who is leaving her. i think the title is very clever since it ties together the theme of the song. i don't know how to explain the connection between the song and title except that it relates to the idea of moving, as a journey and in life. | |
