| Wilco – What Light Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It's not a big fuck you. The song basically says to be true to yourself. |
|
| Wilco – Should've Been In Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Simple and fun to listen to. It's probably my favorite off of AM. | |
| Guster – So Long Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I like the older lyrics: And I heard all that you had to say Then I'd offer a part Now it's later and I can't pretend Cause I liked you better before So long, so long Put your head next to first one Go on cause you won't be back soon You're gone, you're gone And you're heading for nothing Go on cause you won't be back soon And I've heard all I can take And I don't want to fight anymore Take your shoes off and let's not pretend Cause I liked you better before So long, so long Put your head next to first one Go on cause you won't be back soon You're gone, you're gone And you're heading for nothing Go on cause you won't be back soon It pains me to say I put you away I like not to be where you are Cause in my defense I'd do it again It's nice not to be where you are So long, so long Put your head next to first one Go on cause you won't be back soon You're gone, you're gone And you're heading for nothing Go on cause you won't be back soon It pains me to say I put you away I like not to be where you are Cause in my defense I'd do it again It's nice not to be where you are It's nice not to be where you are |

| Collective Soul – She Said Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| You're right Foundation. The Scream 2 soundtrack came out in 1997, while Dosage came out in 1999. Thanks for the correction! I'll be sure to rub it in next time I see my buddy. I love the song too! | |
| Jump, Little Children – Just A Second Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is one of my favorite jlc songs. The shortness of breath in the way it is sung and the indecision in the lyrics is what makes it so realistic. Aside from that, it's about not wanting a person to leave that, but the singer and the person know she must leave. | |
| Collective Soul – She Said Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Actually it's a secret song on Dosage but it's popularity transformed it into its own song. Friend showed me up with that knowledge one night... that bastard... | |
| Guster – Barrel Of A Gun Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I always thought it was about suicide but the masturbation theme makes a lot of sense. The "Keep my head way down" could also be the person trying to stay away from everyone so he can masturbate. Keep your head down so no one will notice when you slip away to wank it. | |
| Wilco – Jesus, Etc. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Obviously he's not atheist if he believes that God's love is present like "Can't Stand It" suggests. As for this song, I have no idea but I like the images presented in it. | |
| Tool – The Pot Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Pot has nothing to do with the drug but the kettle - pot reference as already stated. The part about being so high is talking about thinking so much of yourself. Maynard is laughing at all of you who thought this had something to do with drugs. | |
| Wilco – A Shot in the Arm Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The “shot in the arm” and “something in the veins” references are to play with your mind, just see “The Pot” by Tool. A shot in the arm is a sudden event that has occurred, like a sudden realization of the change in somebody. The repetition of phrases is a mechanism used to convey a point that he just can’t come to grips on what has happened. As for the bloodier than blood line, this shot of life would be more real than what he is experiencing right now, so bloodier than blood (commonly the known as the life force of people). I also like the passion idea, but that’s all food for thought. | |
| Stone Temple Pilots – Atlanta Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| According to the 99x "Live X 6" the song was written in Atlanta and that's why it was given the name Atlanta like Unglued582 said. | |
| Train – Cab Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| That's a good point but I think the main line uses cab as more of a reference to a big city. I think it's just playing on the idea of being in such a big city but being so alone. | |
| Counting Crows – Einstein On The Beach Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Well, I think the line "some inflated form of hit and run" is an interesting view of using an A-bomb. It also could relate the two ideas of what the song is about. I also saw that there was an opera by the same name but I know nothing about it. Sorry! | |
| Trapt – Echo Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This song isn't about breaking up; it's about getting back together. In the first verse ("I think about your face...") he is wondering what she did while they were on a break. Then I think in the second verse ("Do I expect to change...") he has found out what happened and is holding it against her, even though neither of them can do anything about what happened. He needs to let go of his pride because it hurts the relationship cause he doesn't want to get hurt. Wondering what happened inbetween the times they were together makes him paranoid about the relationship, even though he wants to give his all into it. That's just my opinion though. | |
