Sufjan Stevens – Springfield, or Bobby Got a Shadfly Caught in His Hair Lyrics 18 years ago
Could it not be possible that instead of Capitol Air, it is Capital heir, like the heir to the capitol...like a the next in line for the governor, perhaps the governor's son...you know, like because Springfield is the Capitol of Illinois.

Sufjan Stevens – Vito's Ordination Song Lyrics 18 years ago
Come on guys its really effing obvious. "i wear your shoes, and your jacket too" when you write a poem " i know the words before you write them down" not to mention the the whole bridegroom coming and what not. It is a religious song, sufjan stevens throws soooo much christian symbolism into his music, and it is beautiful. Also, i hear tale that he wrote it for a episcopal friend of his who was getting ordained.

Okkervil River – A King and a Queen Lyrics 18 years ago
Man. Austin does it up right with the Rockabillie. I feel it would be a bit reductive to say that this song is lyrically impressive. Well done. With regard to the "butchering for a king he's never seen" line: I think that he is refering to the act of sacrificing, wether it be himself or some part of his love or whatever is kind of beside the point. By saying that he is killing for a king he has never seen it highlights both the absurdity and beauty inherent in sacfrice. Thats my take anyway.

Broken Social Scene – Almost Crimes Lyrics 21 years ago
I think the great thing about this album, and even this band is the great diversity of song they have to offer. Some people will like some of the songs more than others. But BSS is a great band and they don't have a song in their reptiuar that i don't like. Additionally, i like the posts on this particular song. no one is blatently music bashing....thats refreshing.

The Beatles – You've Got to Hide Your Love Away Lyrics 21 years ago
Regos. Jesus. Pearl Jam is fucking amazing. But to say that they were more passionate than the beatles is barely worth the scoffing face that i'm giving it now. In a perfect world hyper masculine heterosexist folks like you would be sodomized repeatedly in a dark prison deep in the heart of the Moab Desert. Perhaps instead of being such a hardcore fan of the Ramones and Neil Young you should stop licking balls and start realizing that there is more to music...like talent, of which the beatles had an undisputedly high amount. It doesnt really matter if you like the beatles or not, but its kind of lame knowing that you hate the beatles for you to come on to a beatles forum just shit talk. Seriously dude, there are more constructive things to be doing, like wanking, or learning how to appreciate real music. Additionally it doesnt matter if this song was influenced by bob dylan. Bob Dylan was very influentual and talented, it isnt a surprise that other artists would imitate his work. The important thing is that the Beatles also made work that was also entirely original (see the white album/abby road/rubber soul) that didn't sound like bob dylan. At anyrate, as far as i can tell the only redeeming part of your personality is that you enjoy listening to pearl jam. But perhaps its time for you to take off the oversized unbuckled black boots, and checkered flannel shirt and realize that hardcore pearl jam fans don't exist anymore. But this song rocks. lots of passion, interesting lyrical skemes everything that makes a song totally rockin'. piss off regos.

DudeBigEyedPhish103 ! you are totally right about the dirty hippies, that listen to Phish. I even love your word usage in describing these Phish loving low lifes; the phrase "dirty hippy" is totally original and not just an immature regurgitation of something you heard repeated by that fat kid on Southpark.
Your musical taste makes me want to hump your leg untill my crotch bleeds! Oh my god, Saves the Day is the most talented band i have ever had the personal privilage of seeing live. I mean I totally lvoe the way that they are so talented that the don't even feel the need to learn more than one cord. Oh! and the lead singers voice, christ that voice. I love listening to the cries of pain from small rodents, and that is EXACTLY what his voice sounds like. It's the voice of an angel. Oh and Good Charlotte, they made me totally cream my pants when I saw them on the MTV awards, when they did that toally original bit where they smashed up their instruments to show their rage against social injustice, or whatever the fuck they were doing. (other than copying Pete Townsend). I could go on and on about how awesome the other bands such as the Deftones, or Finch are, but i think we both know. I mean god i love it when people release a cd, and every song sounds like the song before it...i mean you cant get too much of a good thing.
Well anyway my phsychatrist is coming to give my my dosage of hadinol now so i have to go. But i love you. see you soon.
