This is by far, hands down one of the best metal albums to come out in a long ass time.

Bleeding Through – Savior, Saint, Salvation Lyrics 20 years ago
What the hell...only one of you jack asses needs to tell the world to listen to Bleeding Through. Don't any of you have any sort of idea as to what this song means?

Catch 22 – Giving Up Giving In Lyrics 20 years ago
Catch 22 is hands down the most amazing band ever...well, until Streetlight came along and ruined their day.

Bad Religion – Come Join Us Lyrics 21 years ago
That's a load of bull. Actually listen to the damned song, and you'll hear what it's about.

So you say you got to know why the world goes round
And you can't find the truth in the things you've found
And you're scared shitless 'cause evil abounds

Associate that with the punk movement.

Alkaline Trio – My Friend Peter Lyrics 21 years ago
It'd be funny if Alkaline Trio came around and actually TOLD you what the song was about. You may theorize all you like, but when you start getting offensive and blatantly ignorant, like calling others names, thne you really should just open your eyes, and admit to the world YOU didn't write the song...also, 24 beers won't kill you. It'll make ya pretty sick, if you don't take your time, but it most definatley will not kill you.

Alkaline Trio – Cop Lyrics 21 years ago
Jesus, you guys. Do any of you actually think for yourselves? Granted, in this day and age, we need cops, but also, in my experience, and yes, I do have a clean record, and always have, that most cops tend to be very ignorant in the way they think, and the way they act. Cops tend to forget they're here for us, not the other way around. People should not FEAR the police, they should welcome police. Cops suck, pretty much in general. Maybe not as people outside the police force, but when they have that uniform on, they feel powerful. Argue as you may, but until we no longer have to answer to a cop, or be afraid that if we speak up for that in which we believe in and NOT get arrested for "disorderly conduct", then, and only then will cops have reached a point of respect.

NOFX – Monosyllabic Girl Lyrics 21 years ago
Of course this is about a girl who only speaks in one syllable words. What else would it be about? Sheesh.

Earth Crisis – Asphyxiate Lyrics 21 years ago
How has any not commented on this? This song is about smoking, of course.

Dead Kennedys – Holiday in Cambodia Lyrics 21 years ago
Ok you dip shits, look. If any of you know anything about politics in the late 70's, you'll understand that this song was about our invasion of Cambodia. True, there are underlying themes of rich white people who never had to go to war, or had to face the reality of such a distressing time, but the main theme of this song is about the Cambodia invasion. Go read some news papers or something. And as for pol fucking pot, he was the leader of Cambodia at the time. Sheesh.

From Autumn to Ashes – Milligram Smile Lyrics 21 years ago
Umm, I'd like to see you make a song a fourth as good as this, with lyrics a 10th as good as these, then you can openly criticize this band.

Streetlight Manifesto – A Better Place, A Better Time Lyrics 21 years ago
I wouldn't go so far to say they're better, but BOTAR is definatley good. They haven't put out enough music to be able to make that judgement yet. I'd like to see BOTAR live, too.

Relient K – When You're Around Lyrics 21 years ago
A faith in friendship is worth more than any god in my opinion.

Millencolin – Random I Am Lyrics 21 years ago
None of you know what you're speaking of. Anyway, this band is pretty talented. On the verge of ska in some songs...this song in particular would seem to be about the price one pays to go your own way, but it doesn't always work, and that sometimes the price can be very heavy...sometimes, if you need things to work, you have to play the game.

Streetlight Manifesto – A Better Place, A Better Time Lyrics 21 years ago
Ok, Streetlight is NOT emo with horns. That would be Reel Big Fish. Streetlight is amazingly talented, using horns no ska band dare use before, like the baritone sax they use in the Everything Went Numb. I saw these guys live in Providence with Big D, and wow. Blew me away. These guys are inspirational, deep, and talented. If you like this, check out "Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution". It's the same guys, but a little more different.

Bad Religion – Kyoto Now! Lyrics 21 years ago
Bad Religion is possibly the most well thought out, well spoken punk band ever to be. Words like prescience...I mean come on. This song is very bad ass. Though previously I didn't know what the Kyoto stuff was about, this song very obviously points in the direction of our downfall.

"we can't do nothing and think someone else will make it right"

Very awesome indeed. And, by the way, all their albums are the best.

submissions
Bad Religion – Come Join Us Lyrics 21 years ago
Of COURSE this is about religion. What do you think fuels this band to continue on? It's all about how organized religion goes about with brainwashing, and telling you what you want to hear to join their cause.

submissions
NOFX – Murder the Government Lyrics 21 years ago
Jesus...you people suck. Do you guys have any clue what it means to think for yourself? So what if NOFX means what they say in this song? It's better than "owning all the guns in the world." I think anyone who doesn't realize our entire world, let alone our shitty, useless country, needs restructuring, then perhaps you should open your god damned eyes, and take a look around.

Operation Ivy – Bad Town Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is generally about the scene. The scene anywhere. The fact we have a scene is rediculous. I myself have a big mohawk and many tattoos and such, but you have to realize, it's not on the way you look or dress, but the way you think and act. So what if a kid's wearin' gap. I personally don't buy from gap, but nearly EVERY place you go is going to be stocked from a sweat shop. Take five seconds to get to know someone and realize violence isn't the answer. Big words are much better weapons.

submissions
Operation Ivy – Room Without A Window Lyrics 21 years ago
No, this song is all about ignorance and how everyone seems to think that their the best, and we separate our selves, mostly due to the way we are raised. Media has a huge play in the way this works, but so does our doctored history books and the fact that racism is bred and even encouraged in some parts of our most wonderful country.

Danzig – Mother Lyrics 21 years ago

Rancid – Fall Back Down Lyrics 21 years ago
Nah to go from Op Ivy *Just read their lyrics and you'll see* to go to Rancid, every 12 year old girls dream...they're sell outs. But this song just fuckin' rocks.

Tenacious D – Tribute Lyrics 21 years ago
Hah, what the hell are you talkin' bout "Josh0079"? I'd like to see you do a hell of a lot better than this. They're two rockin' guys who just rock out. And I'd like to see you do /that/ when you're drunk. Shit man you wouldn't know what the hell music was even if it bent you over and treated you like the little bitch you are.

submissions
Rancid – Fall Back Down Lyrics 21 years ago
Ok, first off, Rancid sold out long ago, but this song? How can a song about good friends be a sell out song? No matter the style of music, friendship is the same everywhere. I know for a fact I'd not be writing this right now if I didn't have my friends. I have respect for anyone that realizes how important their friends are.

Operation Ivy – Vulnerability Lyrics 21 years ago
Well, I've been thinking that way since I was 16 or 17, but yeah, I could never write lyrics for a ska band like Jesse did. This song is one of the best. It gets to the point, and tells you exactly what is wrong with society. People don't give two shits about anyone else. They only care when it affects them, and it's such a dissapointment. Do something for someone next time you someone in need. Stop making fun of people, and lend a helping hand. It really does make a difference in someone's life.

Reel Big Fish – Take On Me (A-Ha cover) Lyrics 21 years ago
Have any of you actually seen RBF in a non-concert type setting? Warped tour is such crap now a days. Nothing beats the good ol' sketchy venue hidden in the middle of the city. I saw these guys with Less Than Jake and Catch 22 in what used to be Lupos:Heart Break Hotel. Best damned ska show I've ever seen.

Sick Of It All – Call To Arms Lyrics 21 years ago
This is about chillin' out and not followin' the crowd!

"I will answer what's right for me and not your call to arms." Meaning not going with the flow, just kinda doin' what you wanna do. Aside from all advertising and other such bullshit they pump you with, when something happens you must choose your very own conclusion without the influence of others. Be your own person.

Rx Bandits – Now Or Never Lyrics 21 years ago
Yeah, rim, it's an awesome line. This song is most definately about a guy who got wicked screwed over by a girl he had the hots for.
