personally i think the song is about pets; a dog locked in a dark room or cage, and the dog's passion for his owner, and then whoever comes in and takes his mother and the rest of her pups away, he is telling it if he was the one mut who wasnt chosen, and when he says nirvana he speaks of freedom, the first time as a dream he has had to be free, the second time because his family is free, and the quote "My whole existence is for your amusement
And that is why I'm here with you!" talks about how he only to entertain them and they treat him like some treat their dogs. don't spaz on me if im wrong, im just posting my opinion, im not saying it is correct, i see it as this. |

it is about how he admires his son Nathan's oppurtunities for a good life, jon knows his son is going to have a good life and he is looking at himself and basically comparing his oppurtunities to his "seed" -Jon's the man. |
