For me this song represents people trying to achieve their goal/dream. They feel like they will never get there (they are moving forward closer and closer to it, yet they always "stop" or fall down, "landing.") However, despite all these setbacks they continue to have hope and cling on to their dream, building it up in their minds. Yet they have built it up so much that they have set themselves up for failure and even when they do reach their goal and accomplish their dream it is not satisfying. It is "disappointing" because it could never amount to the perfection that they had created in their head and, thus, no matter what, they are "let down." |
