| i'm just waiting for the "elitist indie rock" kids to say modest mouse "sold out." it's good to see such a good band finally get the recognition they deserve, and as a fan, that's really all the should matter. who cares if the kid who once listened to the backstreet boys now listens to this type of music. the "indie rock scene" is popular now, it was bound to happen with so many great bands out there and they all deserve to get some recognition too. people really need to get over it and just enjoy the music for what it is. to "modest-mouse" above: i know what you mean, i've been a fan for a long time too. but why should you care what other people think? if you're a fan and have been for a long time, then keep doing what you have been, supporting the band by going to shows, buying merch, etc. yes the "indie rock" scene seems to be the "hot new trend" lately but who cares. it's just a phase and will pass, like the rest. ps. this song is awesome |
