This is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard and I don't know quite how to explain the feeling it incites in me. It is clear what it is about and with the title of the album and theme of the album, it's pretty cut&dry.. but so well-done. Kudos, Sleep Station. |

It's not that they could've been so great, they were and still are great to me. This song is definitely a favorite of mine-- the sandcastles the writer speaks about are extremely fragile and it's inevitable that they'd be brought back to sea no matter how intricately they were built. It's basically a one-way love story, portraying the person he loves as his ruin waiting to happen. This song truly is a masterpiece and what's so beautiful about it is that it's open to interpretation and people could come up with like a million different explanations of this work. |
