No idea what the first half of the song means. The second half sounds like it’s about building – perhaps his music – and using others to help him (“catspaw”), and he just thinks and sings what he thinks. |

To me this is talking about temptation, not giving in to any kind of intimacy with someone who doesn't belong to him (i.e. unmarried I guess), and perhaps not being aware or careful to not giving in to temptation ("my headz in the cloudz again"), and either feeling the need to stop with his own corrupt thinking, or feeling a need to stop interacting with corrupt people ("Gotta stop it with the bad seeds"). Probably the latter. |

To me this song is about how it's good to prepare oneself for disappointment. To not expect certain results from plans you make, because disappointment is inevitable. It's about the author feeling needy - needing a "King," and about having good passions and bad passions - i.e. a drive to think and do good things, and a drive to think and do bad things. He's saying the bad stuff needs to go, but thankfully the good stuff is going wild, largely because it's not him generating those things, but his "King" - or "Great Comfort," who is also his "feeling tank". |

I’ve known about this song forever but never really looked at the lyrics ‘til now. Pretty obvious I guess but the artist looks to be saying he has an ugly heart. It “fell out of the ugly tree” hitting “every branch on the way down”. "500 miles of bad road" implies he thinks his heart is extremely ugly/damaged. |

To me this song is about trying to "give" your life to God when, if God exists, your life would already be his to begin with. And about trying to surprise God with your sin when it never could. |

i went through a relationship that didn't last, and on the surface it seemed like a relationship that could last. but deep down, i knew it wasn't going to last.
i'm now starting another relationship with another person, and this song means a lot to me right now because i'm just not sure if it's going to be the same sort of thing or if it can last. |
