Is it just me, or do the drug addiction undertones apply to this song. The line "we all end up shaking for our love, we all end up shaking in love" makes me think of withdrawal symptoms. My cousin is a recovering heroin addict and he said the only thing that keeps him from going back is that instead of making withdrawal easier with drugs or therapy, he forced himself to feel the pain, and involuntary shakes, because it made him realize that he never wanted to feel that way again. and the "stay with me til my dad gets home" makes it seem as though the narrator of the song is young, high schoolish age. |

song is pretty self explanatory, kids who never had a chance at being normal due to an overbearing, abusive father and a battered mother who didn't want them to end up the same way she did. So sheltering them, she drove them a way, the tide being life in general. I'm not a big fan of how they play and sing the song besides some lines, but the way this song is written is phenomenal...gorgeous gorgeous lyrics |

This song is amazing. At the end, he's not really screaming. It's more of a belt. And it shows he actually has a voice unlike most of the bands out right now. And if he could do more songs like this one, I would love them that much more. His voice is really haunting at the end, and it's just so unbelieveable. |

the person who said that she has it way better than other people, maybe so. she is expressing what she went through...just because she didnt shoot up heroin, get raped, have incestuous relationships wiht her dad and have a baby in an alleyway doesnt mean shes any less vindicated than, say, kanye when he's singing about how he was in a car accident. its just a different pov...and yea, it is about her and jessica. completely obvious |

when you have an argument, the smart thing to do is know what you are talking about...i can see where you'd make a slip up, though, in common sense, for example..saying that the cd was called can you still feel the butterflies when the world CLARITY is what was obviously on the cover..

for crimson25, kissing with your eyes open has been associated with not caring about the person you are kissing. a deep meaningful kiss would require both peoples eyes to be closed...that way you know they are focused...at least this has become pop belief...he is saying she really doesnt care about him...their love is a kiss with open eyes, and shes not breathing the love back into it

Here are my thoughts
1. this is a pretty cool song, not my fav. but its not terrible.
2. this sara chick gets caught in a lie at plays it off like she meant to get caught. like that other person said, tool

4. Dont argue about it...that will make this sara whore even more angry, and apparentally, she only gets off on bashing bands...
5. Just because a band is popular doesnt make them sellouts. I'll admit, i was a bit irked to hear that their video was on mtv. It made me mad that in a couple months at warped tour, there may be some teenybopper girl in front of me waving her panties because mtv told her to. but, if they are making money, more power to them. The only way to sell out is to change who you are for the money. And the way i see it, coheed wont sell out...so everyone can chill, and sara(insert random number here) can go back to her avril lavigne post and talk about how punk rawk she is...that is all |

This is probably the best song on the album, obviously besides the crowing. Coheed and cambria are amazing because they mix novels with songwriting, AND are making an entire story with each album. As far as i know, they are the first to have done this and i love every second of it. |
