Great song by Deacon.
It's about meeting a girl in one week.
It's a short love story... it ends sad though! |

Cool but strange song. Lots of Beatles influences, especially Lennon style. The airport voice in the beginning is Dutch and the location is Schiphol airport near Amsterdam. I only don't exactly understand what he means with the sins of Amsterdam and why would the Dutch exhaust someone's supplies for heaven's sake? It doesnt make sense really. Maybe it's just a story about him and his band who went touring through Europe. Amsterdam is kinda known as a sin city with the legal soft drugs policy and red light district. Maybe he had some bad experiences with Dutch people while touring Europe. And maybe during a concert in Oslo, Norway the power fell down so he couldn't perform anymore explaing that bit in the song. |

I think this song is about someone already thinking about what he's gonna do (maybe sexual fantasies) with his girlfriend when he comes home to her. |

| Nick Drake – Three Hours Lyrics

'Three Hours' was written for a friend of Nick (Jeremy). The lyrics are ever so slightly mysterious in their poetry. So much so, that same friend didn't have the faintest idea what the song was actually about. |

A beautiful song from the Innuendo album.
It's about warning people to do their best,
but not kill themselves in the process............ |

John Deacon wrote this great song. It's a story about a guy named Sammy who works in a bar and wants to quit and make something of his life but his boss don't want him to go and tries to disencourage him. The meaning of the song is that sometimes you have to go after your dreams to make them come true. If you don't try at least you always will lead the same life you don't want to live. Spread your wings. |

| Queen – The Show Must Go On Lyrics

Brian May wrote this great song and it was the last single when Freddie was alive. It's therefore ironic that the show must go on but it also make some sense. Although Freddie was very ill at the time he just went on to make music till he really couldn't anymore. It's incredible that he still had such a powerful voice, even with AIDS raging through his body. The song is about him and I think it's clear that it is Brian May saying goodbye to a dear friend. |

| Queen – Life Is Real (Song for Lennon) Lyrics

Freddie wrote this song as a tribute to John Lennon 2 years after he was murdered. The piano style and the strange lyrics are a bit John Lennon like. Life is indeed real and can be very cruel. Just like the death of Lennon. |

One of the greatest songs ever made. It's THE Queen trademark song although I like all their songs. Freddie Mercury was indeed a musical genius and he had such a great voice. What exactly this song means is difficult to answer because Freddie never revealed it. I know for sure that it has nothing to do with AIDS because when Freddie wrote this song in 1975, the disease wasn't known yet. He got infected with the HIV-virus in the eighties so that can't be the reason he wrote the song. We will never know what the song is really about but actually it doesn't matter... it's a piece of Freddie Mercury and it will always be a classic. |
