Oasis – Guess God Thinks I'm Abel Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is simply amazing. All of the Don't Believe The Truth Album is amazing. Individually the songs are extremely deep and orchestral. Put together, the entire album is a long connected story.
"I Guess God Thinks I'm Abel" in particular is at the point in the story where the main character in the story has a friend who he's in love with, but is also a friend so close, so he doesn't want to ruin what they have already. In this song he attempts to win her love and take it to the next plateau. But in the next song "Another Part of the Queue" shows that he isn't very successful. As the story progresses after that, it shows what he eventually does to win the woman of his dreams. It's brilliant because it seems everybody has been in that situation at one time or another.

Smile Empty Soul – This Is War Lyrics 21 years ago
Slasher, that is probably the most ignorant comment I have heard. It's not about blaming the soldiers. It's about how our country and media brainwashes us. Now if you'd like to debate, thats another thing, but you really don't know what you're talking about.

Slipknot – Vermilion, Pt. 2 Lyrics 21 years ago
People who use the word "sellout" are the people that have no idea how to even appreciate music. They're listening to it for the psychological aspect of it, or just absorbing it and not really listening to it. They do it to get away. It's not a bad thing, but if you only listen to music for that, then it's a bad thing. To understand and appreciate music you must first look deeper into the meaning of the song, be them lyrics or music, and how it makes you feel, what mood it puts you in. To understand it even deeper, you need a musical understanding of it, or in other words, understanding music theory and seeing how it makes sense musically. How specific arpegios and techniques of major and minor chords differently effect the song. Once you understand all of that, then you can judge music, but I too get annoyed when people who think any soft song is just emo. Emo is like a rich white kid saying "Nobody understands me, this knife is my only friend!...Oh I gotta go guys, my mom is picking me up in our new car" Don't get me started on conformists/non-conformists (which are actually the same thing). This is simply an expression of their feelings musically. People think love is soft, not like anybodies killed themself or gone crazy over love or anything. Don't get me wrong, some songs are bullshit because not only is it obvious, they also have their own reality TV show and prove that they obviously weren't even capable of writing something in the first place so they pay somebody to write, and then they write it because they're out of material, but this song OBVIOUSLY has a much deeper meaning, but if you're an ignorant assholes maybe you should take a minute and think about it more than a second. Yeah, well sorry for the ramble, but I just get frustrated sometimes.

Anybody agree with me?

This song like most BSF songs, is very poetic, and has a deep meaning. But what makes BSF music so great, is that it can be interpreted in to many different ways by different people. There is no one definate meaning to many of their songs. Music always can mean different things to different people.
