| Alright, I am going to explain but in no way justify Nickman's actions. In fact, i will move on to condemning them. Today, there is a mainstream/counterculture, which is quite oxymoronic, but I think we all know what I'm talking about. It's cool to be "punk" or "emo" or any other underground classification of your choice. It's cool to call once unknown, amazingly talented underground bands sellouts now that they have achieved some success, why this is so, i have no idea. It has something to do with placing yourself on a pedestal, calling yourself an original fan, above these crazy little teenyboppers who have just decided to recognize these amazing bands. Nickman is doing this for the simple selfsatisfaction of letting the world know that he is a 'true' Trio fan, which is, of course, bullshit. If he were, he wouldn't think it necessary to prove himself as one. So to Nickman, i have this to say: eat shit and die you mainstream/counterculture following fuck. Oh, and yes, please don't breed. | |
