this is one of my favorite hendrix songs. it's so beautiful. but, i think some of the lyrics up here are wrong?
"Oh, remember the mocking bird, my baby bun" should be "Oh, remember the mocking bird my baby bought" , "Yes he used to sing for his supper, babe" the second time it should be "yes, he used to sing for his dinner, babe", "They used to sing for the flowers" should be "they used to sing for the honey, baby" and it's not "two long days" but "a tune all day"
correct me if i'm wrong, but that's what i hear. fantastic song. |

such a good song, and it is great for many situations. (according to "when the music's over") jim morrison was upset about some things and went to robbie kreiger's house. he was considering suicide and decided to take a walk to think things over. upon returning to robbie kreiger's house his spirits were lifted because he had written the words to a song, which he promptly sang to robbie. the song just so happened to be "people are strange." |

the song is so beautiful and relaxing, and somewhat sad. it is awesome on the DVD, because they are so calm and relaxed sitting down and acoustic. Robert Plant does change "boy next door" to "girl next door," but it adds an interesting effect. i recommend purchasing the DVD if you are a Zeppelin fan.

this just might be my favorite Led Zeppelin song. i purchased the new DVD set about a month ago and it was the first time i had ever heard the song. it is the video clip i think i have watched the most on the whole DVD because it's so great to see them sitting down, acoustic, and relaxed. a totally different side to Zeppelin. |
