This song is the best one on the whole cd, and in my opinion is the best song ever written by tom delonge. Dont get me wrong i love blink 182's music, but most of the there songs are about stupid stuff that doesn't really have a strong meaning. Those songs are fun, but this song really hits me. Blink had some songs such as 'adam's song' and 'stay together for the kids' that had strong lyrics, but in my opinion not nearly as strong as 'and i'. Tom Delonge has written the best song of his career to date. I especially like the part where he says "can't smile no more". I like this because the way tom sings it you know its coming from the heart. This song is obviously about some past heart break he had and he sings it with great compassion and strength. |

I've read alot of the opinions of the people above and I am somewhat shocked. I am a hardcore blink 182 fan and even though boxcar racer has some very different qualities they are very close to what blink plays. the people who say they like boxcar racer but not blink are ridiculous and are obviously not well acquainted with Blink 182's music. Not to mention boxcar racer IS blink 182 except for Mark (who actually sings in one song). Songs like "What went wrong", "adams song", and "stay together for the kids" are all songs by blink 182 that are very similar to this cd. Blink 182 has turned into a power pop band, one that has soft verses and hard chorus'. Their next cd will showcase that. For all those so called "boxcar fans, but not blink fans" why don't you actually listen to a blink cd like 'enema of the state' or 'take off your pants and jacket' and then maybe you'll see how stupid your comments were before... |

I think this song is great, and I can't believe it wasn't a hit or something. The beginning riff is really strong and the way the Lavato sings the beginning is awesome. Another thing I like about this song is how it starts out as a soft melody and turns into your average Mest punk song. The lyrics are really strong and I think its impossible to truly understand the hidden meanings that are expressed in this song. |
