Wu-Tang Clan – I Can't Go To Sleep Lyrics 14 years ago
this to me sounds like the reflections of a dying man, "i can't go to sleep," he's been shot, "feds jumping out of their cars," talking about the tragedies facing him flashing before him as he dies.

Head Automatica – The Razor Lyrics 18 years ago
this is television
late nite television
scripted with precision
a corner store pulp fiction
sits where your heart isn't

along with the chorus

just reminds me of so many people i used to know. "i cut myself honestly omg i am in so much paaain." their life is drama but it's fake, scripted "late night television." there's no heart, just fakeness.

of course than's one bit, out of context. but that's what it says to me.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Rich Lyrics 18 years ago
it's about fucking around, it's a dirty debased sexy sexy song.

"Won't you stick it to me"

"I'll take you out, boy"

"slipped down a rot drink" as well...she might have been spiked, dateraped, or whatever at this point ""unzipped, she doesn't exist" it's happening, she's too out of it on it all.

"took it standing up," she doesn't really seem to care. It's still a very sexual song. Being a dirty ho, loving it. Raaawr indeed.

Placebo – Allergic (To Thoughts Of Mother Earth) Lyrics 18 years ago
This song does seem to have the drugs/religion slant but I always thought it was comparing the two and saying that he's probably not going to go to heaven so fuckit, he's going to make his own with drugs. "Afterlife to keep your eyes on/bitter pill we take today-" I can only think bitter pill is ecstacy seeing as it's pretty much the bitterest tasting pill around. The light (religion) defines people's lives or divides them-good people believe in religion, have pure lives, bad people end up not believing in religion and filling up the emptiness with drugs.

This is all in addition to what dragonkat said though because that all makes tonnes of sense.

Nine Inch Nails – Into the Void Lyrics 22 years ago
I personally think that the song's about suicide. The journey that he's taking being death, and "Pictures in my head of the final destination" is wondering what comes afterwards. "All lined up
(All the one's that aren't allowed to stay)" Are others who aren't allowed to stay on earth and have to take the trip into death with him. "Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away" is obvious-he tried to stop this and save who he was, but he can't. The rest of the song reiterates how he tried to overcome his problems and he failed, thus the suicide.

Not necessarily correct, but it rings true with me.
