this isn't the most unfaintyfaint song, jerk, this is a wonderful one. this is so damn good, i love Media, i might like it better than both their synthy ones. it's so ...just good and originally weird. reminds me of what cursive could have been. haha. anyways. the point of it is that whatever you say isn't always what you feel. with her arms wrapped around your waist, you can't always say "you know, i don't want to do this" when she just kisses you , you just let your tongue do the talking, this is at least what i get out of it. "more slowly" = prude, maybe, but just wanting to say, man ... i just can't do this right now. syntax lies = only lies becasue your words are too inarticulate to express the true meaning of emotions/decisions/etc.

in king lear, i think that it's based slightly off the roman tale of Romulus and Remus, which were two twin brothers and one ends up killing the other. so it could be either about this or king lear, cause i'd agree, i get that feeling out of it too. and the person who posted before me should be shot, post something intelligent.

unfortunately no one has really come to a very good mmeaning of this song, and i suppose that's okay , because i've figured out a key and integral part of it, i doubt anyone one of you noticed. anyways, the most key lyrics in this entire song are "like a cast shadow." and here's why: Plato had a theory (which we call philosophies these days)about a cave, he sat everyone looking the back of the cave. a dark cave, aye. and he lit a fire behind everyone so they could all see their shadows. the point is that they didn't know what really was really because all they can see is shadows of it, the only way to experience things is to leave the cave entirely. i hope this helped understanding the song and hence life in general. leave the cave, leave the cast shadows. |

first AFI song i ever heard. my favorite [although it's hard to have a favorite with AFI...] this song mostly brought me into hardcore/punk. anyways... i agreat iwth tjos poison pale guy. i think its dying for someone because you want them, but at the same time you wantout. and you're repenting to them which hurts. and the frustration [open wound in your palms from digging your nails into them. i do thisoften.] i say its like a suicidal note but he's not sure about much anymore... if you catch my drift. yeargh.

first off. some of the lyrics are wrong. "i need your heartbeat to haunt me" is how it goes. dont believe me. go buy the cd. and it's "just lay me deep in the ground".
i think this song is about betrayal mostly. that's what it is to me at least. is like fuck this i don't want to behere any more if someone's going to fuck me aournd like this. and perhaps someday it'llbe different. i don't hink the red white and blue ahve anything to do with it really... because i don't really think that far ahead when i write. although i could be wrong as this is just my opinion. the end.
