I agree with said statement above, this definitely has to be the prettiest song I've ever heard as well. It does sound like it's a song about a loved one who passed away, but perhaps it could be a person a great distance from him that he misses. |

It's probably one of the saddest reggie songs on the cd, and probably the saddest one on the CD with Playing Dead a close second. I think what it's about is best explained by post-divorce depression. Breaking up is hard to do, divorce is even harder. |

I agree with slickboots comment, this is the best work he's ever done and i'm glad he didn't limit himself on this album. Sound-wise it's a lot different than past works, which is a good thing though the other albums were great as well. I also agree with the first comment on what this is about. It seems this album has a few references to historical women, jezebel being the other. |

bringitinyeah, uhhh... if no woman wants to have an abortion, and doesn't want a kid, then maybe they shouldn't be having sex. If you have sex for fun, be prepared to suffer the consequences, as if bearing children was such a harsh consequence. Everything fun has consequences. And to everybody else who thinks that eminem isn't writing this song for the money because he would alienate 50% of his fans is ridiculous, he alienates fans all the time by insulting large numbers of people and thus selling records by the millions. Maybe its a ploy, maybe not. But to rule that out is dumb. My friend told me to listen to this song and I did and I'm repulsed by the fact that Eminem would fall into such a typical celebrity left-wing stereotype. I'm also repulsed by these immature lyrics, but oh wait, he's just venting nonsense. |

well it seems to be about the innocence seen through a childs eyes. it seems to be the general consensus on what the song is about, but i'd have to concur. and it's called eisley because it is influenced from the star wars cantina called moss eisley which was on tantooine haha. chauntelle said it was because the cantina was on another world which is what she hoped the listeners would feel about their music, like it was from another world or something. i dunno. i love eisley. |

I thought it was fairly obvious that its about a singer that he likes, and has never met. All he has of her is her vocal chords, or voice from listening to her songs. her songs spin him into a romance... i thought this theme was fairly evident, i don't know where the father theme comes in this song or where anybody got that idea for this specific song, but i guess its all in the eye of the beholder |
