i always think about walking along streets in the middle of the night and i always think about how heartbreaking this song is, "i am so out of tune with you." and the realization that things are definately wrong and there's nothing you really wanna do about it, cause it's love. and you give up all that you got and you go against everything and then there's that light. "music is my savior, i was maimed by rock and roll, i was maimed by rock and roll, i was tamed by rock and roll." that's just such a beautiful picture. that one day all the shit that has gotten you down will one day unravel and become the most loveliest thing.

this one time.
well.
i woke up at 10 to go to a movie in the morning. a free movie. and stpehanie was driving her truck and i was riding in the passenger's seat and this song is playing. we're waiting at the traffic lights, and it just keeps going, "lonelines loneliness loneliness came kicking at my door." and sitting there, watching the morning traffic and having that morning feel brand new when it was already sort of old and having stephanie sit beside me with her hand on the wheel, it all felt meaningful. it felt like a revelation and it felt like something new. i knew from then on that music sounds the best in stephanie's car. in that tiny space.

this band is such cheese it isn't even funny. This song has been so hyped up and its so damn "catchy" and all you kids are just caught up in the moment. in 2 months or so, you'll realize how stupid you were for saying that you think this song is amazingly deep and has a great sound. Also you'll laugh at how you keep saying that the lead singer is hot and that is basically the only thing that matters. Emo is the biggest hoax ever. All you kids that believe in it are living a huge lie. Labels are stupid and wrong, you can't just label something because you won't ever do it right. Give it a rest. And i also find it kind of funny that everyone thinks that the all american rejects are this "great" band that's selling out..when they weren't even great to start with. |

this song is so slow. that its nice. its something you can just sit and sigh. its an amazing song. its so sad but it makes you feel so relaxed. this band is awesome and should be heard more often. i highly recommend this song. oh and what this song is about! the guy acts like a complete idiot and the girl should just let him go. but he of course still wants to be with her. but it just doesn't work that way sometimes! ahah. whatever. |

FIRST off, I would like to say that Dashboard Confessional, to simply put it, is AMAZING. And I think that Chris is brilliant. I mean what normal guy can make such great lyrics and when in concert can make kids sing with him? I think that is fucking brilliant
SECOND of all, this whole MTV/publicity thing. Well its a good thing, yet a bad thing. Like its great that Dashboard is getting noticed, because talent like that should not be overlooked. But then again, when you get noticed, you get noticed by kids who can never really understand the raw emotions expressed by Chris.

well, i dont think the song really has TOO much meaning, you can tell that she's trying to say something here and its really simple. The tune is ok, the words are tolerable, but Avril Lavigne, well I personally think she is bull shit. I saw her on tv at the Muchmusic video awards and she had her ass hanging out!! And her dumb little wifebeater shirts that says boy beater shirts thing. God I find that incredibly stupid. All in all the song is ok. |
