I read online somewhere that it means this: Eon = A long period of time Blue = A color offten associated with serenity, plainness, bordem Apocalypse = The end. So the sond means Long Boring End, perhaps what the fate of humanity will become if something doesnt change. The song is a tribute to Adams great dane but its cool how they most likely didnt intend for the song to have meaning but its possible to apply one to it. Every Tool song no matter how small can have some deep meaning....pure genius. |

| This song deeply thouches me because its amazing how it paralells with myself. I think its about a dying relationship between two lovers. He wants to fix the relationship so that it can return to normal but in order for this to happen the partner has to open up express her feelings and "mention" what the problem is. All of this being said and done when he watches the weather change, he watches the relationship change, for better or worse. This song brings tears to my eyes because its so true. Im sure there are many others on here that can understand what im saying. | |

If you read this song a certain way it almost sounds like he was abducted by aliens who operated on him and enabled him to open up his third eye. "On my back and tumbling Down that hole and back again" That could be something like fire in the sky where they pull you up into the ship and your tumling in the air as your being pulled in. "Shrouding all the ground around me is this holy crow above me" That could be the ship above him. "I do not recognize the vessel" Pretty self explanatory. | Maybe the part about Roger ordaning himself and proclaiming himself a god has some historical meaning. Like how back in the dark ages Kings were considered to be chosen by God. So maybe in that part he's singing about a King just simply declaring himself a God all on his own without anyone elses authority or opinion.
