This song reminds me of my friend. I lost her to suicide this year. She was such a wonderful person. The line that most of you seem to like is also the one that touches me the most. I picture her funeral, even tho I wasn't there "as they lowered you down my heart just jaded, and that moment the earth made no sound, but you were there. You helped me lift my pain into the air." I feel like, even tho she's not here any more, she's still with me, and we're closer than ever.
This is most deffinately a completely comforting song when you're in a time of grief. It helps you cry. I played it as a sort of memorial for my friends that knew her after she died, and I think it all affected us differently.
Although I don't know what the writer's take is on this song, I love having my own theory, because it fits. |

This is my favorit Lifehouse song. They're my favorite group, and any fan knows that it's hard to picka favorite. I haven't even heard the melody, but I almost cried the first time I heard the song. Similar to "Everything" it did something that can rarely be done, it brought out emotions that I didn't even KNOW were there, and that's part of the emmense beauty of this band. They never cease to do this. |

I really love the lines "entertain the sun, beg it to go on", it reminds me of times when I have felt like I was in a really bad [dark] spot in my life. It's a good song about struggle. The lyrics remind me of "Quasimodo". |

Yeah, that's the uniqueness of this song. Almost anyone can sing it with absolute truth in their lives. Whether it be Jesus, me, you, your bully, an old man, or a middle school kid, it just seems to fit into every one's lives. |

SapphireSkies: I understand what you're saying, I'm just starting to get really tired of ppl being so negative about such a great band like Lifehouse. I just can't hold it in sometimes. I'm so sick of ppl trying to tell me crap about how Lifehouse isn't Christian. They're just being so ignorant. And Lankmaster was so sure what he was saying was true. I know this site is for expressing your opinion of the song, but I just wonder how some ppl can come to the LH section to be negative, when there are so many other places they can go to be positive. The words "feeling like I'm chasing, like I'm facing myself alone" can be so true for me. Have you ever felt that you are your worst enemy? Like you don't have a fear in the world except for the confrontation of your very own being. That song brings my fear of myself to the surface, and I think helps me face it, with those poweful lyrics. |

This song also helps me to look at myself. Sometimes I feel like I have "Simon" victims. Ya' know, like when you walk all over someone for something small.
It's so comforting for me too. I can just go to my room when I feel alone and play it, and even tho no one's there except the cd player, it's like Jason is just my best friend for the five minutes. I can play it over and over, and feel like I've got someone there for me. It's beautiful, and even tho ignorance may make some think it's depressing, it's really very uplifting. Another masterpiece! |

lankmaster: I think your interpretation is unique, even tho I don't agree with it, but I'm just wondering why you, and many other ppl on this site can't just state your own opinions and quit dissing other ppl so much. I love the words "I'm finding my way back to sanity again". They remind me of getting over a hard time. Like when you loose someone, you can feel like you're going in sane, so then it's cool to hear the words that fit right into your own life. All of LH's stuff is like that.

I don't have Diff's Lucky Day (although I really wish I did), so I don't know the music to this, but the lyrics are beautiful. It's so simple, but the lyrics contain beautiful words and phrases. This is a nice song, I would like to have a chance to hear it sung. |
