Well I kinda look at it as a song about long distance relationships and the strain that it puts on the two people.. Though the two may care about eachother, the difficulty and the frustration of not being with one another takes a toll on them emotionally and mentally.. I think the line "we have never been satisfied" is a good example of this because with most long distance relationships, though there is a lot of love, the satisfaction will never be there since everyday contact is practically impossible.. But if you listen on, the line "this is a slow suicide" can be looked at like this... The people love eachother, but it hurts to be such a great distance away.. They love eachother to the point where they don't want to let go even though it may be for the best.. Well, at least that's what I think.. Let me know what you guys think.. It pisses me off that Ash isn't listened to by more people.. They are a kick ass band with so much talent.. Who gives a rats ass if they are on MTV or not.. They have the abilities and music, and should be everywhere.. Maybe then the world would stop being so shallow.. |
