Please spell his name right. It's Elliott Smith. The song is great though, terribly sad, which, well is obvious. You can't really make a happy song about suicide. There's not a lot more to be said about the song, it really speaks for itself. I only have the live version though, so I can't wait until the new album comes out to hear the studio version. It'll get a few tears out of me, that's for sure. |

i can relate to this song just in the fact that when i'm at school, or anywhere i very often find myself feeling awkward and unsure of myself. "underground" for me is when i am with my friends at local concerts (or any concerts) and i don't have to worry about anything. i dance and sing and i love it. "everything's happy underground."
i agree with colormegray too. it really is an anthem for a lot of us. |
