I lost a very close friend of mine about 6 months ago. A few days after his death I kept listening to this song...i was drawn to it. I now realize that I had been falling for him . I won't get into all the messy details of our relationship....but I miss him. I always will. I'd also like to add that my boyfriend had been there for me during this time and I love him so much. I would have broken without him. |

This song means so much to me......one summer night me and my boyfriend were driving around in his car...late at night just cruisin and the 311 version came on. I mentioned how much i love this song, but the Cure version was better. Ever since that ever time we would hear this song (usually it was the 311 version) He would take me into his arms and just sing it to me (off-key though...but i still loved it). For christmas he bought me the Cure version of it and i love the album but i listen to that song every night. I'm away in college and he is back home...i miss him so much. |

The meaning to me
Brandon did something wrong in the relationship and his girlfriend can't forgive him (*ex-Forgive me indecision I am only a man*) and he is kicking himself in the ass for doing this "thing". He wants forgiveness but cant get it so he just lies in bed and mopes as most of us do when we fuck things up.(* ex-By now you would think that I would be up But my bedsheets shade the heat of choices I've made) But then he thinks that she cant forgive because she is always thinking of herself. (*ex-then again you're always first when no one's on your side)

I love this sing!I saw Incubus in concert a couple of weeks ago and when they performed "Mexico" Brandon got chocked up and looked like he had a hard time finishing this song. It must be very personal to him. |
