Both my parents are alcoholics, my mom recovered and my father active. This song, when I listening to the lyrics, made me cry, I related so much. I know exactly what it's like not being able to confront the alcoholic, it may be too hard and even send them into a deeper binge. I said something to my father around a year ago and he shut me out of his life and stopped talking to me, we haven't talked since then, no one in my house does, we all just live there, just exist. To deal with my parents problems, my drinking started getting out of hand. I luckily got that under control quite quickly and no longer use any substances. Sometimes I just cry....... *I heart =w=* |

hey morepunk, you have it backwards, chris lived in connecticut as a kid and moved to florida when he was a teenager. the townies stay and the snowbirds leave. in florida, the people who live there called the winter tourists snowbirds, because to the florida people, it's cold compared to the summer, this is usually directed to the tourists who will swim during the winter months. that is what this entire song is about, no one died, it just that in florida all these snowbirds come during the winter, have flings, leave the townies there so they burn in the sun and think of their winter flings. it is that simple, there's nothing more to this controversy. this is an absolutely beautiful song and i can't wait to see fsf on november 2nd! |

haha there's so many messages on here and i'm all the way on the bottom and no one will probably see this but that's ok. When i was waiting in line at a Good Charlotte/Midtown/Mest show someone was handing out demos. At this point I had never heard of Something Corporate but gladly took it of course. For a long time i never actually listened to it but one day i put it in my cd player. I was not too impressed by the first song that was on it, it was "If you see jordan", this has to be their worst song and i don't understand why they released it first. but anyway i skipped to the 2nd one and was amazed, this is one of my favorite songs, it is absolutely beautiful. |
