The first time I saw the video to this song, I really connected with it. Since then I've realised that I'm bisexual so it means alot to me. Now I look like someone out of the video, which is a bit scary. And shirley manson is gorgeous if you don't mind me saying. ^_^ I think the song is about androgyny (really??) but that's all I know. |

This song is apparently about love and drugs (this seems to be a theme in placebo songs....). Brian Molko was in a relationship with a girl and she was addicted to drugs ( heroin i assume from references in the song) and when he broke up with her, she wrote : "My gentle prince, you are the only" or something along those lines on his wall. . And the song is about her and her drug use and her love. That's the story he tells anyway. I think it's one of placebo's best songs. |

I read an aricle where mr molko said the song was about a transvestite. I don't know if it's ture, or just his sense of humour. Anyway it's a beautiful song. |

They used it during a fight on Hollyoaks (british show). I got up screamed and ran around the room manically. They've aslo used Nancy Boy and Every You Every me, which all provoked the same reaction. And wierd looks from my friends, bless them they just don't understand. I think the song is pretty self-explanatory. But the video is about the different ways one situation can turn out. And Brian manages to get both the girls and the guys which is great. And makes me laugh alot.....*hehehehe* |

Apparently this song is about being beaten up for what you wear or what you look like. That's why Brian Molko recorded it naked, which I think was very dark and witty. |

I read that Brian Molko said this song means something along the lines of the fact that everybody was going to think it was about him, but actually it was him mocking people who blamed all their problems on their parents and/or unhappy childhood (product of a broken home). He thought people should aslo take responsibility for their lives instead of blaming failures etc on other people. Hope that helps.. |
