I'm not sure if this really happened, but the song is about people starving in Bolivia and asking the pope to declare rats fish so they can eat them on Friday because you weren't supposed to eat meat on Fridays if you were a Catholic. In declaring rats to be fish, the pope was helping with the hunger problem and the rat infestation. Again, I'm not sure that this is based on something that really happened. |

Pretty self-explanitory. Howard Hughs, the famous movie producer and billionaire went crazy when he got older and became a recluse obsessed with germs among other things. He had bizarre rituals for those who fed him and took care of him. |

I think this song is about the fantasies of children regarding toys and the like. They found a doll in the grass and just *knew* she had powers. They went on to create and perform rituals. |
