Dead Can Dance – Don't Fade Away Lyrics 23 years ago
When I was young, I used to listen to this specific song a lot. My older brother bought Towards The Within, but for a long time this was the only track I would listened to. I wasn't very good at english at the time, but the emotion that this song projected on me was.. almost magical and something I would never forget.

I would imagine that the singer (Brendan Perry) was singing to his soul mate who, as unfortunate as it may seem, was dying. Though their love was beyond anything this world had ever seen, it wasn't meant to be. They had only moments left before death would seperate them. And all he could do was trying to make the best out of those last moments. That's about when Brendan starts singing "But for now..etc". It felt like he tried to give an entire lifetime of caring to her in a manner of minutes. It made me cry.

And the funny thing of course is that the song isn't at all about that. Now I can read it and (sort of) figure out what it's about. My childhood fantasy was way off, but it still brings tears to my eyes when I listen to this song.

Norah Jones – Something Is Calling You Lyrics 23 years ago
Though this is my favorite song of Norah Jones in terms of music and the emotion/atmosphere that it carries, I am not entirely certain what this song really is about. I've seen people post some very insightfull things at lirics here. Does anyone have a clue on what this lyric is about?
