| Blink-182 – Dammit Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| the definition of sell out is... changing your music for the record company, for money (hence the term, sell out.. i suggest you all listen to sell out by real big fish, it kicks ass) .. im not a blink182 fan but i do like this song.. so whoevers been listening to them from the beginning til the present, they can determine wether the music has changed or not. and i thought this site was to determine the meanings of songs, not argue over the band... remember: everyone has their own opinions. | |
| NOFX – The Decline Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
what the hell? im sick and tired of everyone of you complaining about punk. whats punk, what isnt? if i wear this safety pin through my eyeball, does this make me punk? fuck you! i agree with nazipunksfuckoff when he quoted dead kennedys... punk is thinking for yourself. and as for the whole anarchist/political thing... uh, yeah, originally, thats what punks were. anarchist who wanted to bring down the system so the bitched about it with shitty music. then it got to be fun stuff, to make the system mad once they realized they couldnt bring it down. now its all fun stuff. and whether they (meaning nofx, the queers, all those 'funny' bands) wanted to make the gov. mad or just have fun, all their doing now is having fun... because obviously george bush doesnt care. and im sick of little 16 year olds saying DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM, IM ANARCHY! give it up, you cant even vote and you WONT make a difference, and you probably dont even care about the gov., you just want to be like everyone else, punk, but being like everyone else makes you... "un-punk" anyways so jesus. and now im contradicting myself by arguing over punk, but come on now. and dont crack on ska cuz it kicks ass and will put you in a good mood. . . this is a good song but it ISNT the best ever written. come on now i can name 10 off the top of my head. well there goes my opinion again, but .... the cure is cool.... rock n roll |

| Reel Big Fish – Sell Out Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i agree with fuckyouall... 110%... you dont sell out because you get payed a shit load of money for your music, you sell out when you change your music FOR the money. therefor, reel big fish is a cool band and they didnt sell out. i think this song is a joke or whatever... but its good no matter what. | |
| Rancid – Journey To The End Of The East Bay Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is awesome. It's so great. I love how song writers kinda hide what they mean... so you have to find out on your own, or analyze it yourself. The meaning to this song isn't as hidden, in fact it's more obvious than hidden, but it is still a good song. So... did I just contradict myself? Oh well, it kicks ass. My favorite part is when he says... "But what you gonna do when everyone goes on without you"... gosh I love that. Because... it's true. Mess around now, but what are you gonna do when other people are serious and your still messing around? By the way, Dprincess1220, (hmm...nice member name. heh.) Are you trying to impress someone by listening to Rancid? Sorry it just seems that to me... anyone else get that vibe? Well if you actually want to hear good songs? Listen to Radio, Roots & Radicals, Ruby So Ho and a buncha others. Actually every Rancid song kicks. :P | |
| Rancid – Radio Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| First of all, Rancid kicks ass, and this song has got to be one of the greatest ever written. What does it mean to me? Well.... the second line in the song [Never knew what a good time was 'til I had a good time with you] means more to me than you can imagine. This is my friendship song with my soul mate. I never knew what an actual GOOD TIME was until I experienced one with her. I mean, sure, I had had great times with people, fun. But with her, we we're soul mates, and no one can ever understand so I may as well not explain. When the music hits, I feel no pain at all... When I'm in the mosh pit, or the skunk pit, or the huge circle pit, when you get knocked in the face and blood is running out of your nose, if Radio, Roots & Radicals or whatever song is playing, that your not feeling the pain in the least bit. And what "pain" you are feeling isn't pain. It's the music. It's hard to understand but for the deeper people out there I'm sure you'd get it. For me to say that this is one of the greatest songs ever written is a big deal. I'm a huge fan of Rancid, but still... I think everyone should check out the post under Bye Bye Miss American Pie. That might just be one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Oh, and about NOFX's cover of Radio? Well... it is good in a different way. They did a good job, because usually all covers sound the same. But nothing could compare to Rancid's version, although live NOFX does a kick ass job. I don't like the cover very much, but that's only my opinion. I have respect for it, I just don't like it. And [When I've got the music, I've got a place to go]... how true is that for all of us? When you have a fight with someone, or you got fired, or your just pissed off, how many of us don't go into our rooms and play our music? When we've got the music, it's like having a shoulder to cry on. We have a place to go. With that, I guess all that's left to say is ... Rock -n- Roll. :D | |
| The Cure – Just Like Heaven Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this has to be one of my favorite songs of all time. it isnt superficial at all, and goldfinger does have an awesome cover of it... not to mention robert smith has the sexiest voice of all time. what it means to me? i think its between two lovers who send and receive the wrong signals, and without to hesitation or lack of confidence, they could be together... although i dont know why anyone wouldnt wanna stay with robert, no matter the communication level... :) | |
