Science runs on faith. All scientests believe in Aritstot;es principles (Mainly A=A and thats the only thing it can equal.) Also most scientests come up with theories that explain how things work. You have to believe the theory (just like people believe religon.) |

knobbodi has a point about the parasitic relationship. We are parasites but that doesn't mean the cure is to exterminate.
Mitochandria (the organele that burns glucose to produce energy) are found in every cell of the human body. They have a totally seperate DNA structure from the rest of the body. The easiest explanation for this is the mitochandria was originally a parasite that evolved into a symbiotic relationship with us.
We are parsites but that doesnt mean we will neccasarily kill the host. |

Its interesting to note that most (not all) of the people who bring up religon talk about Christianity. I did it as a quick arugment against science since the two do have a lot in common.) I'll admit it is still a pretty shaky argument but it was the quickest and the one I thought would need the least explaining (Some times I think stupid stuff.) |

If tyou look at the human body as the earth, pretty good anology, then there are harmful bacteria (mainly us at this point) and there are helpful bacteria that work to better the body (the ones that help digestion come to mind but are not the only ones.)
Right now we are the harmful kind but that doesn't mean we can't change to the benefical one. |

I don't totally agree with you I'm Iranian. Yes we are a disease. But not all viruses and bacteria are bad. they can be helpful. So unless we change drastically there will be bad results.
I hope we don't die off, when we do we'll take as much down with us. Now and days thats a lot. |

I disagree with the religous programming part. Faith seems to be running low. People use church as nothing more than a car wash for there conscience.
People commit the sins and whtever else and then go to confessional to wipe the slate clean so they can start again.
(I'm really sorry to every religon I haven't named. Unfortunatley I can't think of the different variations of this theme, though I'm fairly sure they exist.) |

Today is alot like the dark ages. Diseases still run rampant, violence is still all to common (though this has gotten a little better) tribal warfare is still happening in parts of the world.
I think its worth noting that religon has more plausable answers to important questions like how did it all begin? How will it all end? What comes after death?Science has pathetic answers for these.
I agree with ownpersonaldemon on one thing. Name callign takes up valuable space and is just well, childish. |

I agree with Kdog30001 about science killing us. Its kind of ironic because science has also saved us from some problems, but created a whole new set of problems that we have to solve (Over population, nuclear war, and pollution to name a few.)
There has to be a major change in our ideology, but I have no idea what it is or how to achieve it. |

System of a down talks about various things, religon vs science being one of them (IE this song) they also talk about america and where its heading (IE deer dance)
Each song has its own meaning. You can accept the crap all of have been writing in these message boxes or form your own opinion about what they mean.
System of a down CD "System of a down" had quick summaries of what each song was about. I don't think they did that with the new CD "Toxicity". |

I go to high school and every desk is stuffed full of sunflower seeds. This happens because no one is paying attention to the teacher and are instead talking an eating seeds this could be another meaning for the "eating seeds..." line. |
