I think the song is about losing someone and not being able to get back to life... Examples: "Please give me the bottle, I think I'm lonely now." "Please give me direction" And the point of the squeek hinge is that if Kody doesn't come through it, something's wrong. I myself like how the song starts with Kody at what could be a car accident and possibly contemplating suicide, and ends with the Narrator standing in the same exact place and state of mind, demonstrating a circle. One of my favorite songs by them. |

Addtionally, "slit wrist theory stains us all' Means that just proposing (theorizing) suicide already stains (leaks blood upon, or effects) everyone he/she knows. |

I think "lace me up" is for stitching (stitches), or for holding him to his depression. "Looking for these angels in the snow" Snow angels are depressed into the snow... depression. The only (I guess there are others but..) way you could tell an angel in the snow apart is by the shadows into the depressed areas. "I will color you all red I will color you all... red" It's harder to distinguish people in red light, or maybe he means that he'll cover them in his blood, so to speak; give them personality through his death. |
